Indie Trip Hop artist Imogen Heap opened up the TEDGlobal convention with a very unique performance using tech-infused gloves. Created by a team at University of West England led by Tom Mitchell, the gloves allow Heap to manipulate the music with just the motion of her hands. Her drive in using the gloves was in order to be “more expressive and spontaneous” when on stage.
