The Generationals: Actor-Caster
The Generationals, a band known for their catchy tunes, has done it again. They recently released their sophomore album, Actor-Caster, on March 29, 2011 which has received great reviews. Most often, fans worry about the direction the band goes with their second album. Will they choose to stick to the same sound that they have or will they branch off and try to be different? With the release of their latest song, “Dirty Mister Dirty” it’s become the anthem for people everywhere to cruise the streets to. Sticking to their chant-like American roots of uplifting piano basses, the New Orleans’ boys Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer followed up their latest EP – Trust with an album that is quirky, feel-good pop that is crisp, catchy and highly addictive. The duo has delivered music with sparkling melodies, close harmonies, and bouncy rhythms with danceable, hook-filled tunes. With gurgling synths in “Yours Forever” and the skittering electro beats in “Tell Me Now”, this duo is starting to prove to the music world that their music can be diverse yet cohesive, as opposed to their first release. Keep your eyes out for this band because they’re soon about to make it huge.
