Adam Beane is the world’s foremost sculptor of hyper-realistic portraits, internationally recognized for the extraordinary emotive and expressive qualities of his pieces. His subjects range from celebrities like Matt Damon and Milla Jovovich to President Barack Obama. Adam is also the inventor of Cx5, a groundbreaking new sculpting medium which handles like clay when warm, but is as hard as plastic when cool. This material and Adam’s unique methodology of sculpting are the two things (aside from natural talent) that allow him to achieve such incredible detail and precision in his work. Make sure you check out the hair detail on Evangeline Lilly as Kate, from Lost, and Obama’s killer suit. Adam will be sharing his sculpting techniques in a series of tutorial videos to hit the shelves later this year. Look for Cx5 and his workshops this fall if you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at sculpting.
