bangstyle.com Legoland Lego Ford Explorer Ford entertainment Fords New Lego Mobile [VIDEO]The team at Ford have put together a car like we’ve never seen before. Can the doors open? No. Does the car have an engine? Nope. Can it be driven? Of course not. Is it still one of the coolest cars Ford’s ever made? Heck yes! The life-size model has been built to mark the launch of the release of Ford’s 2012 Explorer SUV. The connecticut-based team consisting of 22 master builders spent 2,500 hours on the car. At 2,600 pounds, the lego car weighs twice as much as the actual automobile. Crazy, right? Get this… The 380,000 bricks used to build the car (at a typical market rate of 10 cents per brick) would cost more close to $40,000. That’s enough money to buy you a real Explorer and have money left over! If you’d like to see the car in person, you can see it at Legoland’s new and biggest 150-acre theme park in Orlando Florida opening on October 15th. Check out the time lapse video of them building the car below.
