McDonald’s Launches Their Very Own In-Store Channel!

Thanks to McDonald’s, you can now get your news and your burger on the go. The Oak Brook based fast food company announced the that it will be providing it’s customers with a new in-store digital television channel in 11,000 of its stores. The new channel will feature all things news, entertainment and of course, advertising.
The idea is to provide a “family-friendly” environment as you dine-in. Movies such as Where the Wild Things Are and television shows like Merlin will play, as well as children’s music videos, and travel programs. The older kids won’t be excluded– original programming will spotlight extraordinary high school athletes on McDonald’s sports news.

According to the The official McDonald’s channel website, “It’s an entertainment network based on purpose built programming focused on what a McDonald’s customer is most passionate about…Sports, lifestyle, entertainment, and music.”
Content is said to be kept current and relevant with news updates and stories about local topics and individuals. All programming will be shown in high definition and is expected to reach 26 million American diners per month
