Murderous Ex-wife of Gucci Heir Chooses To Stay In Jail!

The Italian “Black Widow” who had her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci, a relentless womanizer, killed by a fortune teller and an unemployed driver back in 1995 is up for parole half way in to her twenty six year jail sentence. Patrizia however, has no intentions of going anywhere. She WANTS to stay in jail– and you’ll never believe her reason why! She told the parole board:
“No thanks, as it would mean getting a job and I have never worked a day in my life. I won’t start now.”
Reggiani started sharing a cell in Milan’s San Vittore prison with cell mates, a few plants, and a pet ferret back in January 1997.
So, wait–instead of trying to make a new life for herself, she chooses to rot in a jail cell, water her plants, and tend to her pet ferret?! Yup. I mean, three square meals a day and you don’t have to break a nail. Can’t argue with that- I’ve heard horrors about the Italian justice system and police force, but I guess their cells must be pretty cozy!
Her lawyer, Danilo Buongiorno prostests “It’s up to her to choose. Her decision has to be respected,” he says. “My client is not well. She is still suffering from her [1992] brain surgery. Living with her cellmates is not easy.” Well, DUH. It’s jail, not Club Med. The socialite complained after her arrest that she missed her cosmetics, and insiders say she has obtained access to lipstick and rouge.
Reggianni was famous for her over-the-top lifestyle, spending some 10,000 euros a month for orchids alone. She once famously declared, ”I would rather weep in a Rolls Royce than be happy on a bicycle.”
Well honey, I’d rather work hard in the real world than be taken care of behind bars. Have fun tallying the years as they pass by on the cement wall, weirdo.
