M.A.C Cosmetics Teams up with Chen Man

M.A.C Cosmetics is preparing to launch a cosmetic collaboration with China’s foremost fashion photographer, Chen Man. Since writing this article, I have to admit, I am now a bona fide fan.
Gaining world recognition in the art world after being part of the “China Design” exposition in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, one of her pictures was selected for the 2008 expositions advertisement.

M.A.C. did well, because this collaboration has a zero chance of failing!
Combining art, color and fantasy, the world’s leading professional makeup brand will feature an extraordinary visual campaign shot by Chen Man.
Chen Man, 31 is China’s hottest fashion photo extraordinaire and is billed as the ”Beijing girl who wants to bring modernism into her country.” If anyone can, Man can!
A graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in graphic design, people are not only blown away by Man’s amazing photographic images, but her ability to artistically combine those same images seamlessly with computerized 3-d rendering.
The world had taken notice of Chen Man’s skill with a camera, and her “technical wizardry” with a computer. The hands-on artist does all of her own post-production image work herself, from retouching with Photoshop, to 3-D rendering with 3-D max. Genius.
Man’s work is prominently displayed in China’s most famous galleries and museums; she is also a regular contributor to the Chinese publications of Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire.
M.A.C for Chen Man will feature a collection of a limited edition mineral eye shadows inscribed with a yin/yang design. The collection inspired by Chen Man will be available globally at M.A.C stores starting March 2012.
