Send Money to Friends on Facebook with New Paypal App
It was only a couple of days ago that my coworkers here at the office convinced me that I need a PayPal account. They were so right, and ever since, my life has changed for the better. I can get paid back for anything instantly whether it’s on my computer or my iPhone. In fact, if someone wants to pay me back via their iPhone all they have to do is bump it into mine and the money transfers, it’s great!
Today, payments have taken it to the next level by entering the social networking world. The PayPal app on Facebook has been released and now the 800 million+ Facebook users can start sending money via the new app, simply titled Send Money. Like our friends at Mashable say, the app is “as straightforward as its name.”
A card can be sent with money or you can just send money without the card. It’s as simple as selecting a card, deciding which friend you’re sending it to and then choosing how much you want to send. PayPal’s Anuj Nayar says, “The PayPal and Facebook infrastructure has now merged… This is another way to personalize the act of giving money.”
There are different ways to use PayPal on Facebook. One of them is Payvment. It enables peer-to-peer payments using the giant social networking site combined with PayPal. Say goodbye to transaction fees when using this app peer-to-peer, but PayPal’s regular limits and international fees remain. Check out the exclusive walk through for Sending Money on Mashable.
I really see these apps hitting off very well. When I get the time, I will surely whip out the list of those who owe me that green and get in touch with them via Facebook.
