The Harry Potter Park is Coming to Universal Studios Hollywood

Oh my gosh, I am so excited about this! I am THE BIGGEST Harry Potter fan in the world (fact) and I could not be more excited to have the soon-to-be Harry Potter Park right here in Hollywood!
Universal and Warner Brothers announced today that a Harry Potter attraction, complete with a Hogwarts castle, will be coming to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.
“There are tough times,” said Gov. Jerry Brown. “You hear about people moving to Texas. But we’re building the dream that never dies. We’re truly a state of imagination. And… Harry Potter pushes us further down that uncertain road California is on.” In construction alone, the Harry Potter attraction is estimated to create approx 800 jobs for Southern California, in addition to the revenue draw Harry Potter will have on the local economy.
In April 2010, Universal opened “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. During a press conference Tuesday morning, Universal president Ron Meyer says that opening a similar Harry Potter attraction in California will “change the face of tourism in Southern California,” and that the attraction would also be a “game changer” for the park.
Neither Universal or Warner Brothers have given an estimated date as to when the attraction will be completed, but eager fans (myself included) await with much anticipation and excited-ness.
