Latest Radiohead Song Release Is A Hoax

Remember that previously unreleased Radiohead song that leaked a couple weeks ago called “Putting Ketchup in the Fridge/ How Do You Sit Still”? Well, that’s not a Radiohead song. Apparently this song that gained around 100,000 views on Youtube has nothing to do with Radiohead and was recorded in 2001 by some random dude named Christopher Stopa, under the title “Sit Still”.
It is not surprising that such a hoax was completely bought by the public. Stopa’s voice sounds remarkably similar to that of Thom Yorke. My guess is that someone with a will to mess with avid Radiohead fans stumbled upon this song, and started the rumor that would soon take the attention of thousands worldwide.
CNN covered the story and got a video of Stopa explaining his story, a very intriguing one at that. Imagine you recorded a song years ago that gets attention all over the globe under the name of one of the world’s most acclaimed rock bands!
