David Cross Claims He Did Cocaine In The Presence Of Obama

Comedian and actor David Cross is known for the outlandish characters he plays, as well as his outrageous behavior in real life. Cross is at it again, now claiming in a recent interview with Playboy Magazine that he has snorted cocaine in the presence of President Obama–at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner!
When asked about the rumor about Cross doing cocaine just 40 feet away from the president, he told Playboy, ”It was probably more like 65 feet. And it wasn’t even that much cocaine. It was literally the size of, I don’t know, a tick. It was a tiny granule of coke that I put on my wrist and said, ‘Watch this. I need a witness.’ And then I ducked under the table and did it. It wasn’t like I got high. The jolt was similar to licking an empty espresso cup. It wasn’t about that. It was just about being able to say that I did it, that I did cocaine in the same room as the president.”
So far, there has been no comment from President Obama, but I’m assuming it’s pretty safe to say that neither Cross nor his girlfriend, Amber Tamblyn who he claimed got in “trouble by association”, will be invited back to the White House again anytime soon. I doubt this incident will hurt Cross’ career very much though. The actor, best known for playing roles like the strange Tobias Funke on “Arrested Development” and Todd Margaret on IFC’s “The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret,” seems to be doing pretty well for himself. The highly anticipated return of “Arrested Development” has been long awaited, and Cross has been officially asked to reprise his role as Tobias Funke, an invitation which Cross welcomes with open arms.
