Girl Scouts and Nestle’s Thin Mint Candy Bar
Finally, some good news regarding the Girl Scouts. After being condemned by a Catholic parish, scalded by Indiana Congressman Bob Morris, boycotted by the Family Research Council, and snubbed by snotty girls, the non-profit organization devoted to building “courage, confidence and character” and “changing the world” has upheld one of its most-favorable traditions: making delicious cookies. GSUSA confirmed plans for a sweet collaboration with Nestle for a limited edition Thin Mints-flavored Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bar Tuesday morning, Huffington Post reports.
“We are thrilled with the positive response to the Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bar. The product photo is a retail sales sample and not available for sale at this time. Look forward to some very exciting news in June,” GSUSA told Huffington Post.
The Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bar will join dark chocolate wafers (score!) and creamy mint topped with “airy crispies” which will inevitably create an irresistible melty cool combination. The pairing sounds much tastier than the GSUSA’s other cookie-product mergers like its Girl Scout Cookie-flavored lip balm .
Pictures of the treat hit Reddit Monday, igniting rumors and hope. Jezebel speculates the sample picture’s plural terminology could mean more flavors in the future. Fingers crossed from Samoas and Tag-A-Longs.
