Jason Heuser: Funny President Artwork

President’s Day is no longer synonymous with our founding fathers. Instead, it means a mini vacation or an extra leisure day tacked onto the weekend. But to artist and history-lover, Jason Heuser, President’s Day is an opportunity to pay a hyperbolic homage to the great men of America’s past.
Heuser has quite an imagination. Instead of the humble representations of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln that are portrayed in school text books, Heuser creates larger-than-life figures. Lincoln rides a vicious bear whilst holding an M16; John F. Kennedy mounts a robot-horse on the moon; Washington shoots zombies with both hands simultaneously.
While these images are as beautiful as they are funny, I’m not how sure “Honest Abe” would feel about being misrepresented.
Heuser urges his followers to “show their patriotism” by buying one of his illustrations.
