Marc Jacobs South Park T-Shirts

bangstyle.com fashion Marc Jacobs South Park T ShirtsThe always amazing Marc Jacobs is taking a new approach for his new project, Protect the Skin You’re In, with his campaign T-shirts benefiting The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University.

The designer got Eric Cartman, Randy Marsh, and Butters Scotch of South Park to strip down to their birthday suits just for him and his charitable fashion brain. Oh, and did you know MJ was actually featured in an episode of the hilarious show as “Muscle Man Marc?”

Robert Duffy, Jacobs’ business partner, told WWD that Matt Stone and Trey Parker, South Park’s creators, were extremely involved in the process of creating the shirts and were also very protective of what the final outcome was going to be. He explained, “They’re very cautious about collaborations. We’ve worked with so many artists in the past, and I’d say Trey and Matt are the most protective of their brand. They were so involved, to the point of wanting to know the texture of the T-shirt and how thick the paint is on the silk screen. I really wanted to do Kenny, but they said there was absolutely no way they were going to let me use Kenny. I wanted to see what he looks like without his coat.”

If you’re feeling charitable, or just like the adorable South Park themed T’s made to spread the word about Melanoma cancer, purchase them online or at Marc Jacobs boutiques around the world.
