This week’s Featured Salon was so much fun to write about! I headed to celebrity favorite, Warren Tricomi Los Angeles. Because I have extensions, I was booked with Angela Kalinowski for a cut and style. She specializes in applying and cutting extensions, so I knew I was in good hands. The salon space is gorgeous, clean, and spacious, and the staff was absolutely incredible! The receptionists, assistants, and stylists were friendly, knowledgeable, and organized, and I felt like a princess while getting beautified and chatting with Angela about the salon, her hair tips, and her favorite products. In the end, I walked out with a beautiful blow out, stylish haircut, and the confidence boost I definitely needed.

Check out our interview below:

bangstyle.com featured Featured Salon: Warren Tricomi Los AngelesBANGSTYLE: What is the team like at Warren Tricomi?
Angela:
Young, hip and cool. The energy here is amazing. Everyone is super close; we all get along so well and hang out after work–It’s so natural to become friends with your co-workers.

BANGSTYLE: What is your clientele like?
Angela:
Our clientele is a mix of young and hip, stylish, trendy, and most are involved in the entertainment industry one way or another.

BANGSTYLE: What differentiates you from other salons?
Angela:
Everyone here is talented, and there is someone here for everyone. Stylists are all different but super friendly. Also, our space is wide open, and the vibe is super exciting.

BANGSTYLE: You’re a colorist and stylist. Why did you choose to do both rather than specializing in one or the other?
Angela:
I chose to do it all because I love the control of the art. I also love to see the entire before- and- after transformation. It’s great to have variety in my day.

BANGSTYLE: What is your best at -home beauty tip?
Angela: Put coconut oil in your hair. It works amazing as a deep conditioner and is amazing for every part of your body. Simply wash your hair, apply it to damp strands, and leave it in or rinse it out. The longer you leave it in, the better. Oh, and you can buy it at Trader Joes!

bangstyle.com featured Featured Salon: Warren Tricomi Los AngelesBANGSTYLE: What should people never do to their hair?themselves?

Angela: NEVER trim your own bangs. I’ve seen more disasters than I can name.

BANGSTYLE: What do you specialize in?
Angela:
Cutting, coloring, extensions, and styling.

BANGSTYLE: You specialize in extensions. I’ve heard that they’re the most difficult to cut, why?
Angela:
They’re hard because you need to do texture cutting so they don’t just look straight at the ends. I cut extensions free form and how I think hair lays.

BANGSTYLE: What are your all time favorite products?
Angela:
I cannot live without VoCe’s Surf Mist and Touch Me Spray.

After hearing about these products, we were able to speak with the owner of Warren Tricomi and VoCe’s owner, Kaz Amor.

BANGSTYLE: What does the name mean?
Kaz:
It means “about you” in Portuguese. I came up with the name after hearing stylists complain about large hair product companies and feeling a major disconnect. I wanted the product to be for people in the industry, by people in the industry.

BANGSTYLE: What sets your line apart from others?
Kaz: We’re only carrying it in select salons; also, if it doesn’t sell in six months, we’ll buy it back. Our products are organic, have no sulfates, no parabens, and no preservatives. We treat haircare like skincare, which is how everyone should think of it. I also went to different labs to create my line. Each lab specialized in something different, so when combining them all, I succeeded in creating a product that stylists like and want to use.

Check out Warren Tricomi LA’s BANGSTYLE profile and website. Or, visit them at 8327 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, CA.
