Uberlife Makes Connecting Easier

Uberlife is not just another social media platform for people to connect online. It goes so much further by getting people to connect in real life. The idea is “making hanging out with like-minded people easier, faster, and much more fun.”
The app is used to create “hangouts” that can be updated and posted to the user’s social network. They can post the hangout on Facebook and Twitter and allow others to see what they will be doing later. Then their friends have an opportunity to join. The user can also invite others to see, so it is a great way to meet new people with similar interests.
Sanchita Saha, the Uberlife CEO, told Mashable, “Uberlife helps users gain more real-world relationship building and face time with their friends and new people around them, instead of relying so much on catching up online.”
The app is currently only available for iPhone users. They can sign in using their Facebook or Twitter account. Other people still have the ability to visit the site online. The app will pull information from both of these sites about the user to have an idea of what to match them with. Then all the person has to do is make a hangout which will entail listing when and where the person is going. They can then make tags that will match up with other Uberlife users such as “Facebook likes, interests, and Last.fm bands.”
The hangout once created can be updated to Facebook and Twitter. The user can invite people to see it directly, and then the friends will have the opportunity to share the hangout as well. “While most social apps today are for sharing moments of our lives with friends and networks, Uberlife is about making those moments happen,” said Saha.
