I’m a sucker for all things Disney and a glutton for nostalgia, so when I came across these amazing images of Disney princesses and other classic Disney characters re-imagined to look like real life human beings, needless to say, I was awestruck.
Through a combination of photo compositing and digital painting, artist Jirka Väätäinen brings our favorite Disney characters to life by creating realistic, life-like images of them. The result is truly amazing; and as a die- hard Disney fan, I have to admit that I’m a pretty tough critic. So if they were anything short of amazing, I would disapprove. Fortunately, all of them are incredible in their own unique way, and they really seem to capture the individual spirit of each of the characters. Here are some of my favorite images: Ariel, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Belle, Jasmine, and Rapunzel. Check out the full collection here.
