“Sex and the Kitchen” To Air on Bravo
From the network that first brought you gems like The Real Housewives of Orange County, Millionaire Matchmaker, Project Runway, and Top Chef comes a show that combines the best of all four realms of quality trash pseudo-reality into one juicy hour. Bravo just announced plans to air Sex and the Kitchen (working title), a show that depicts the lives of single women high on the food chain in Los Angeles’ ever-trendy restaurant world.
The content promises the sizzle as much as the ladies with the network’s official description of the series.
“This docu-series follows a group of single, successful, and beautiful women connected to the restaurant and food industry in Los Angeles as they juggle a world where business always mixes with pleasure,” Bravo stated.
Rumor has it EaterLA‘s infamous editor Kat O’Dell (who always manages to be on top of every restaurant opening worth digging into in Angel town) will be one of the six lucky leading ladies.
Sex and the Kitchen‘s announcement saddles up with six other new shows Bravo will air in the future. Additional promising contenders include Fashion Stories of NYC, which follows fashion icon Andre Leon Talley (of Vogue magazine and America’s Next Top Model fame) as he advises four up-and-coming fashion design teams while they produce key collections and Female Entrepreneur Project, another estrogen-driven title which captures a competition hosted by the co-founders of Fortune‘s ”50 Most Powerful Women in Business” ranking.
The Los Angeles food-centric spot takes its name from Sex and the City, and viewers can only hope the glamorously witty banter of Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda effervesces in the real lives of these Angeleno restaurant and foodie socialites. There’s no news yet on when any of the shows will premiere, but a girl can dream that Bravo will cook them up in time to update the fall DVR with the classiest trash TV cable has to offer.
