First Automatic Bed Makes Itself
One of the first things we learn as children from our mothers and fathers is to make our own beds every morning. Whether we exercise this skill with any sort of frequency as adults is entirely dependent on how lazy we are. I for one could use a little practice.
Fortunately, the Spanish design company, Ohea, has spent a large amount of their time making it possible so that we don’t have to waste a large part of ours making the bed. The company has just announced that they have created the first automatic bed maker.
The device has a built-in roller that smooths and straightens sheets and comforters, with attached arms to pick up pillows and place them accurately at the top of the bed. The “Smart Bed,” as Ohea has named it, also has a built in safety feature to ensure that the bed will not be made when it has an occupant in it.
The “Smart Bed” comes with two modes: manual and automatic. Obviously the manual will allow the user to tell the device when to make the bed, while the automatic setting will detect a zero occupancy and after three seconds will begin to make the bed automatically.
On either setting, the Smart Bed only takes fifty seconds to fully make any of their beds, according to Ohea.
Of course, in order for the device to work, you must purchase the Ohea-made bed. The device is not a separately sold item that can be attached to any bed, but rather is built in to a pre-made one from Ohea.
The Spanish company has designed various bedding patterns for six different sizes of beds, including sheets, pillow cases, and duvets covers.
