Three Sneakers For Summer

No matter how much I rave about nail polish and moisturizing, my feet aren’t always perfectly pedicured. Life sometimes gets in the way, and painting and scrubbing is usually not highest on the list of priorities. In the winter, you can get away with more time between pedicures since boots are the go-to shoe of the season; it’s summer that poses a bigger problem. With wedges, sandals, and bare feet as the usual summer look, it’s hard to cover up unfortunate-looking toes. For those days when you need to go for a shoe option that doesn’t put your toes on display, opt for some cute summer sneakers.
A summer appropriate sneaker means one with a lightweight feel. Preferably ditch the grays and blacks for some fun colors and patterns. If you are having a hard time letting go of your plain white sneakers, take a look at these summer sneakers that offer a bit of variation:
Keds X Urban Outfitters
These Keds designed for Urban Outfitters are the perfect bright and lightweight sneaker for summer. It’s a good route to go for those who are attached to their white Keds, since it’s a fun take on the traditional shoe. The yellow and sea-green tie-dyed option are my favorite and will definitely direct attention to your feet, and you don’t have to feel self-conscious because your unpedicured toes will be out of sight.

Dip Dye Converse
If you are looking for the same kind of color pattern but with a high-top, the dip dyed Converse are the shoe for you. They offer a little bit more edge but still use some great hot weather colors for your feet. Of course, you can opt for the more traditional one-color converse; but for the summer, choose something bright like pink or yellow.
Floral Vans
I am obsessed with floral patterns this season, and what better way to update to a summer sneaker than adding some pretty flowers to your usual plain black. These Vans combine the usual tomboy quality of all black Vans with a girly, antique floral. These are a great summer option when you aren’t willing to bare all.
