The Edible Cookie Coffee Cup Is Here

The amount of coffee consumed in this country would astound you! So why should it surprise you that coffee drinkers want more?
Answering the call, Venezuelan designer Enrique Luis Sardi decided it was time to give coffee drinkers something they could really sink their teeth into – an edible coffee cup!
If anyone could come up with a unique idea to draw attention to an already well visible industry, Sarli Innovations is the company to do it. The geniuses behind a lot of high profile brands, I wonder, “What took them so long to give us a cup of coffee and a cookie in one?”
Created for the premiere Italian coffee brand Lavazza, Sardi’s “Cookie Cup” completes your coffee drinking experience and trust me, you won’t be thinking of Starbucks once you’ve tried this little number – it’s all about Italy, and it’s all about Lavazza!
In collaboration with the team at the Lavazza Training Center and Cataldo Parisi, head chef of the confectioner’s kitchen, the 100% edible cookie cup was born.
According to Sardi’s website, “The ‘Cookie Cup’ is made of pastry that is covered with a special icing sugar that works as an insulator making the cup waterproof and sweetening at the same time.”
The innovative cup has already collected hundreds of Awards in Ecology, Marketing, Business Strategy, and Design sectors!
Just think; you can now have a proper cup of coffee on the go and not have to worry about trashing the environment with unnecessary plastic.
Considered one of the greenest designs the year it debuted, the cookie cup hasn’t become a staple at any coffee shops in my area, but I have a feeling it’s getting a rebirth; and you never know, the Italians may share a little more than their amazing Lavazza coffee, and the cookie cup may become the norm.
