Fall Nail Polish Trends
It’s the end of July, and I’m already itching for the next season for a change of fashion and color trends, even though living in Los Angeles means that I won’t see cooler weather until November. I guess I won’t actually be able to jump into fall fashion until it is nearly winter; but luckily, fall nail polish doesn’t require a temperature under 60 degrees. Refinery 29 laid out some of the fall nail polish trends that we will be seeing this upcoming season, and while July may be a little early, it is always good to be prepared, right?
Deep Berries- This is a polish shade that clearly imitates popular colors in fall fashion. Deep berry shades are great fall colors, and you can choose to go matte or metallic. They offer a bit more of an edge than pinks and reds but can definitely be worn by anyone.
Grays- I love a good matte gray polish, and I can already tell this will be my go-to color for the upcoming season. Gray polish has the same chic edginess that black polish had a few years ago, but of course it is updated. So give up that black, and choose a great shade of gray (or maybe 50?).
Navy Blues- While summer was all about the pastel blues, this fall change it up with a great navy blue. This is one of my favorite fall/winter polish shades with OPI’s Russian Navy being a staple in my polish collection.
Browns/ Rusty Reds/ Brunt Orange/ Goldenrod- I listed these nail polish color trends together because they all fall under the category of autumn leaf shades. Why not mimic the most iconic image of the season on your nails with these colors?
Metallic Greens- This is another one of those shades that imitates fall fashion colors since there is a popular emerald and jewel tone color trend in this fall’s fashion. Metallic greens are great way to go if you are looking for a complete change from traditional nail colors but still want a chic shade.
Purple- Season after season, purples are my favorite go-to nail color. From the classic OPI Lincoln Park After Dark to any metallic, glittery rendition of purple nail polish, this is a great shade to pick up regardless of your skin tone. The darker and deeper purples are ideal for fall and winter and offer a great change from the traditional reds without going all the way to black.
