Get Rid Of Dark Under-Eye Circles

On one of those days that the dark circles are coming out in full force, you can just open your refrigerator for some simple remedies. I never understood the iconic image of a lady at a spa with cucumbers over her eyes until I found out that a slice of cool cucumber works to relax your eyes, getting rid of dark circles and puffiness. The cool temperature of the cucumbers constricts blood vessels that cause the dark circles. What I’ve found even more effective to getting rid of dark circles is cold tea bags. Put wet tea bags in a bowl and refrigerate them for a while; and then just like the cucumber slices, lay them over your eyes; and relax for about 20 minutes. Caffeine in the tea reduces puffiness and the tannins act as an anti-inflammatory, reducing the appearance of dark circles. To avoid treating these dark circles everyday, it is best to pinpoint their cause. If you are well aware that you didn’t get enough sleep, then you have an easy solution. There are many reasons you should be getting your full eight hours and many beauty benefits to being fully rested. If you find that allergies are causing your dark circles, try taking an antihistamine medication and see if your dark circles are reduced. Realistically, we don’t always have 20 minutes to relax with cold vegetables on our face; in these instances, we can get a quick fix with concealer. Choose a concealer only slightly lighter than your skin tone, but don’t make the mistake of going too light because it results in an unnatural looking shade. If your dark circles have a purplish or blue look, use a concealer with yellow undertones to cancel out the color. Apply the concealer with a sponge or your ring finger to avoid being too harsh around your eye area. Using eye cream throughout the day will keep your skin moisturized and looking fresh, and you can do this even over your concealer.
