New Perfume Helps Women Lose Weight

Using perfume wasn’t always just for personal pleasure. Before we had automatic shower heads and refillable bathtubs, people really used to stink up a place, and that’s when perfumes or colognes really came in handy.
Since more recent technological developments have occurred, perfume has become a luxury item, not a necessity. But perfume may be returning to a practical application by helping the wearer lose some extra weight.
The French parfumier Veld’s has created “the world’s first weight loss fragrance” called Preds Moi. The fragrance was released last month in the United Kingdom after sales flourished from its release in France the previous year.
According to PSFK, the fragrance contains a brand new ingredient called betaphroline that releases beta-endorphins in the skin. Once released, the beta-endorphins help stimulate feelings of contentedness and happiness, regulating the feelings of stress and anxiety like all endorphins do in the body. When the anxiety and stress feelings are decreased, a person is less likely to stress-eat or overeat and will eventually lose the extra weight.
After extensive training at the Center of Biological Research and Cutaneous Experimentation, results from the Medical Daily reported that, “It was revealed that 75 percent of the women felt that the perfume regulated the need to snack, 73 percent felt a feeling of pleasure, 70 percent felt a feeling of well-being, and 70 percent felt it changed their eating behavior.”
This is a huge leap in the field of using scents to trigger different chemical reactions in the body, with much larger consequences and applications than merely weight loss– a huge feat in itself that has proven most popular already.
Apparently, there are already 6,000 women listed on the company’s waiting list in order to purchase the perfume; if it proves as effective as the tests say, then that number is only bound to go up.
