Sarcastic Parking Signs
Parking signs are the bane of my existence. Really. I can’t tell you how many times I have circled around a neighborhood desperately searching for a spot. When I finally come across one, I launch myself into the parallel parking dance, which is hilarious for anybody standing by but totally mortifying for me. The worst part is usually once I have secured my spot, I will get out and realize that I’m breaking some stupid rule on a parking sign that was obstructed by a tree… So much rage. I hate parking signs. I hate them so much I want to set them on fire.
Looks like Partners + Napier, an Atlanta, Georgia-based ad agency, understands my pain and has put a funny spin on parking signs for their office parking lot. At first glance, these signs look totally legit and similar to any other NO PARKING sign you would find in a private lot. As you start to read the sign, you realize that it contains hilarious and sarcastic insults towards anybody who thinks he/she is allowed to park without permission.
Here’s a gem:
“Parking in this space will result in your vehicle being towed and a considerable fine. Have you no soul? If you are willing to park here, what else are you capable of? Do you zoom through mall parking lots, cutting off old ladies that need to sit on pillows to see over their steering wheels? Just to steal their space when they clearly have a permit. You may even fake a limp as you pass by pregnant women who’ve had to schlep the extra distance into the store. It’s more likely you skip though. Just to be a schmuk. Well, you’ve parked in the wrong non-handicap space this time. Now that your car’s been towed and you can’t get around, you’re handicapped. And like a cane upside the head, you’re gonna get hit with a fine. This one’s for all the Grandmas out there.”
Too funny! The company also printed up a bunch of fake parking-tickets to leave on offenders’ cars. Brilliant! Check out some other signs below:
