Let Your Fish Swim In A LEGO Kingdom
My childhood, like countless others, was defined to some degree by LEGOs. It is one of the few toys that transcend generations without breaking a sweat. Go into any Target or Toys-R-Us and it’ll be clear that LEGOs are as popular now as you remember they were as a kid. That said, LEGO is certainly expanding its scope, even if another company is helping them do it. Certainly LEGO is taking to heart the American adage that if you’re not growing then you’re dying.
Fishspace has taken the concept of LEGOs being the building blocks (quite literally) for the imagination and reimagined them as structures for your personal fish tank. It’s such a simple idea that it’s hard to believe that no one has come up with it yet, but Fishspace has certainly took the initiative to base their new line of fish tanks on the idea that your fish friends should have some pretty cool digs.
Within the tank are three points in which you can attach LEGOs, effectively allowing you to build whatever type of world you think you fish deserve. Build it high, or keep it low to the base of the tank, but make it inventive and eye-catching. The best part is that the LEGO attachments aren’t any different from the ones you still have from your childhood. Furthermore, the new LEGO tank is actually far cheaper than going to a pet store to buy a fish tank that won’t be quite as unique. Fishspace is taking pre-orders on the LEGO tank on their Kickstarter, making sure that for $48 you will have a new fish tank by January 2014. That gives you just enough time to gather all those stray LEGOs you have lying around in anticipation of building your fish kingdom.
