As the temps begin to drop, hair color is proving to heat up, and this refined red is showing us that reds are definitely going to have more fun this season! Within the warm spectrum, there are various shades to try out. The key to creating a beautiful color for your client is by finding shades that are complementary to their natural coloring.

With the use of dimension colors in this tutorial we see a mix of cool and warm shades. This technique allows us to create an opalescent effect that complements a variety of skin tones.

Follow along below to see how Scruples created color to complement Jennifer!

Jennifer is a natural level 6. We added TRUE INTEGRITY Opalescent Creme Colour Level 7 Copper + Level 7 Brilliant Copper + Red Intensifier to bump her base. To create her dynamic tones we used:

Dimension Color 1: TRUE INTEGRITY Opalescent Creme Colour Level 8 Brilliant Copper + Yellow Intensifier + Red Intensifier

Dimension Color 2: ILLUSIONIST Brilliant Creme Highlights Scarlet

Dimension Color 3: TRUE INTEGRITY Opalescent Creme Colour Level 7 Brilliant Copper + Creme Booster + Yellow Intensifier

Dimension Color 4: TRUE INTEGRITY Opalescent Creme Colour Level 7 Radiant Red + Level 8 Brilliant Copper

By adding these highlighting shades we were able to create a color that really captures the light and transitions well throughout the season.
