Our favorite time of year — New York Fashion Week is finally here! NYFW may have looked a little different this year, but the beauty was still evident. Most of the biggest events of the year, like the Met Gala and the Olympics, were put on pause, but the brilliant minds behind New York Fashion Week persisted and reformatted the show to be a virtual experience.

Designers like Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera, Tadashi Shoji, and dozens more have been working hard to bring us all the latest in fashion and we're reporting on some of the top trends, inspired by NYFW, to look forward to this fall!

Fresh faces and barely-there bends made up most of the beauty seen on Wu's runway. The first showing his contemporary causal line, the trend toward attainable styles and every day styles are strong. Apart from soft waves, we saw natural curls, braids, and plenty of natural-toned hair colors that gave us all the inspiration for fall. To get a similar look, consider applying Redken FASHION WAVES 07 SEA-SALT SPRAY to control and enhance texture with a laid back finish.

Nothing says sleek and sophisticated quite like a super-slicked hairstyle. This was evident during Badgley Mischka’s show this past week. Mischka’s models stunned in bold, floral print dresses and skirts, but what really pulled the looks together were the model’s slicked-back buns. It’s very easy to pile tons of gel on your hair to mimic this look, but that will often result in a greasy finish. To avoid this, tightly brush your hair back, smooth it out and lock it in with STYLE ULTRA GEL No 88 by Keune. Secure your hair with a hair tie and proceed to twist your bun into place!

What’s hotter than a new outfit? New hair accessories that match your mask! Chromat’s models elevated our everyday mask attire by pairing matching mask to outfit, and colorful floral hair accessories too! Add real or faux daisies, roses, or any other flower of your choice to voluminous hair and you’ve got yourself a runway-ready look for Fall! Get your hair to peak volume with Keune’s STYLE VOLUME POWDER No 71.

That’s right. So many models embraced their natural hair this New York Fashion Week and left the entire virtual audience in awe of their beauty. No one did it better than actress and model Indya Moore in Jason Wu’s tropical show on the first day of NYFW. Embracing your hair this Fall may sound daunting for those of you who depend on your straightener, but have no fear. All you need to feel as comfortable and confident with your natural hair is a really great leave-in conditioner like KEVIN.MURPHY’s LEAVE-IN.REPAIR, and a little bit of EASY.RIDER Anti-Frizz Creme by KEVIN.MURPHY to keep your natural texture shining all autumn long.
