Dedicated to his craft, the community and his students, Sam Villa is always looking for new ways to positively impact the beauty industry. Co-Founder/Chief Creative Officer of Sam Villa and Global Artistic Ambassador for Redken, he has now joined Unite as One, a collective of professional associations supporting the beauty and wellness community. An avid believer in #ArtistsSupportingArtists and #BrandsSupportingBrands, Villa deems the evolution of the beauty industry dependent upon unity and Unite as One is the first group to initiate a strategic plan among major beauty and wellness associations.
“This industry is very special to me. Sure, there are some guidelines and protocol in place, but it’s not enough. I joined Unite as One to help create positive change and promote beauty as a top career choice,” says Villa. “It’s been very rewarding, and I want to give back by helping to highlight its benefits to attract others to this amazing community.”
How Villa Is Getting Involved:
There are four main areas of concentration, each fueled by a think tank committee. Villa will serve on the Cultural Intelligence Committee.
- Next Generation Talent - Refine systems and communication to promote how viable the industry is.
- Perception - Modernize certain aspects and regulate some, ie., licensing, DOE regulations, access to support and loans, consumer safety, etc.
- Communication - Create a unified voice on COVID recovery information, tactics, tools, resources, as well as advance research and data collection.
- Cultural Intelligence - Create a formal commitment to supporting diversity, equality and inclusion.
