As fashion weeks come and go, a new wave of style, inspiration, and education come with them. Guido Palau, Redken Global Creative Director created this sultry yet simple style for Versace Fall/Winter 2016. Hear what Guido has to say about style and find out how to get the look.

“The Versace girl is a real cool rock n’ roll kind of girl. The ease of the hair this season is a juxtaposition to the super glamorous clothes and makeup. I used Wind Blown 05 to texturize the hair, then added a band in the hair to create a combined feel of a festival, the 60s, and even a bit of a New York vibe. But yet it’s not one specific thing. The idea of achieving glamour in a way that looks easy is very relevant now.” – Guido

Versace 2016 Fall/Winter Fashion Show, Styling By Guido Palau

1. Wash and dry hair using Diamond Oil High Shine Shampoo and Conditioner.

2. Let hair air dry naturally. Once dry, create a messy middle part using fingers.

3. Using a 1-inch curling iron, create soft movement and bend throughout hair. Spray hair with Wind Blown 05 dry finishing spray to create texture and slight hold.

4. Apply narrow headband to crown of head, allowing ears to show.
