Thinking about dipping your toe into the pastel trend but worried you might be a little too mature to pull off the look? Well fear not! The latest crop of pastels are all grown up and far more soft and sophisticated than the teenybopper shades of season's past, making them wearable for all ages. We turned to COLOR.ME Director of Education, Europe, Michael Jung to share how to recreate some of his favourite post-millennial friendly looks using COLOR.ME’s new range of pastel toners.

Forget over the hill and go over the rainbow with this dreamy array of pinks and purples.

STEP 1: Starting on pre-lightened hair, apply CLEAR + 5.8 + 5.86 to the new growth.

STEP 2: Using a diagonal colour melt technique, tone the hair in sections using ICE + LILAC, APRICOT + BEIGE, LILAC +APRICOT and CLEAR + 5.8 + 5.86.

STEP 3: Rinse and apply COLOR.ME finishing regimen.

Play peekaboo by framing a pretty peach hue with pops of icy lavender.

STEP 1: Using FREESTYLE.LIGHTENER, lighten lengths and ends on either side of parting.

STEP 2: Tone pre-lightened sections with ICE.

STEP 3: Apply APRICOT to remaining hair.

STEP 4: Rinse and apply COLOR.ME finishing regimen.

Make ‘em melt with classic golden blonde with just a kiss of colour elegant enough for every day.

STEP 1: Highlight the hair in foils using CREAM.LIGHTENER.

STEP 2: In between foils and on remaining hair, apply 7.43.

STEP 3: Tone the hair with NATURAL + APRICOT.
