Scarlett Johansson looked impeccable at the 2018 Emmy’s and her dramatic cat eye makeup teamed beautifully with her deep side-parted, waved bob. The texture amped her look up and the length is super on trend right now. To create this look it is best to allow your hair to dry naturally if possible, that way you can work with your natural texture and pattern and enhance that. Aveda Pure Abundance Style Prep is your best friend for looks like this, spray onto dry hair before combing through and shaping with your hands for volume and movement. This will add grip to your hair and make it easier to achieve that pushed back finish. Don’t forget to use hairspray to lock this in place all night long. – Krysia Eddery, Owner of Perfectly Posh Hair Design

Mandy Moore’s relaxed, beachy wave with mirror-like shine gave us serious hair envy at the 2018 Emmy’s. This textured look is one we have seen a lot recently and the key to getting this right is not just the way you style your hair but also the cut. The ends of her hair are varied in texture and length which helps provide that effortless finish to the waves. If you wear your hair like this often, it is worth discussing with your stylist and finding out how you could update your haircut to suit your style. Straightening irons usually work best to add that movement into the hair and it is crucial that you alternate the direction in which you style the hair every now and then to avoid a uniform curl. –  Dean Jones, Owner of Dean Jones Hairdressing
