“Whether you’re a student, stylist, salon owner, artist or educator, this virus is affecting us all in ways we never could have imagined.  We’re sending heartfelt wishes to salon professionals and their families to stay safe and be well.  In times like these, it’s important to find inspiration…we may be social distancing, but we can still come together and share as a community - #ArtistsSupportingArtists. With the cancelling of many of the industry’s educational events, virtual learning will be important.  I’m looking forward to seeing fellow salon professionals find innovate and creative approaches to connect and share.

This current situation is new to all of us and very fluid, we’re all trying to figure it out as we go, so mistakes will be made, but we will also learn together.

We are going to continue to provide information and education through our social platforms, because that’s what we do.  We hope to share ideas on how to weather this storm with strength and grace.  And let’s hope we all come out the other side (soon!) charged up and ready to bring our guests a great experience.

Save some space on April 19 and 20 for “The Show Must Go On” – 2 full days of live FREE education with our entire team (Andrew Carruthers, Anna Peters and Jesse Linares). We will each teach 45-minute classes with 15-minute breaks between on Facebook Live (8 am PST to 5 pm PST).  We hope you can join us: https://www.samvilla.com/show-must-go-on.  We are all here for you.

In addition to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and your local government guidelines, don’t forget to tune into the Professional Beauty Association, they have a COVID-19 information and resource page for salon professionals.

Now more than ever, my friends, it’s important that we share our experiences and knowledge to help and support one another.”
