#WANGFEST took over Bushwick, Brooklyn on Saturday night – creating the runways of all runways. Using a tour bus as their “backstage,” models sauntered off of the bus and onto the street, giving a whole new meaning to the term “street style.” Alexander Wang didn't just put on a show, he had a festival!

Cloth festival-like wristbands were given to the audience behind metal barricades as they watched models (including Kaia Gerber, Kendal Jenner and Bella Hadid) with fresh faces and barely-there waves, natural texture and suggestive headpieces stating: “hangover,” “ after after party,” “party animal” and “secret location” transform the #wangway. We can only wonder what happened after the show, but if you want to see how to get the hair and color that rocked the fest, follow along below.

“The hair this season at Wang is much simpler – with less haircuts, it’s much more about the girls being themselves this season. If the hair is straight, we are using an iron to add a bit of texture. I am using the new Redken No Blow Dry Cream to define texture in the girls’ hair. Of course, we colored Stella’s hair for the show in collaboration with Redken Global Color Creative Director Josh Wood.” – Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau

  2. When hair is damp, apply a quarter-sized amount of Redken No Blow Dry Cream to crown and throughout your lengths to define texture.

  3. Create a middle part using your fingers.

  4. As hair dries, use your hands to slightly flatten down lengths to keep hair textured, but not too
puffy.

  5. If needed, using a curling iron throughout your lengths for added texture.

  6. T o set the look, apply a little more Redken No Blow Dry Cream to further define texture.

“There’s an element about haircolor like its makeup – that Stella can be this color today and another color tomorrow. We are referencing the 90s and making it feel right now, today here in New York. I’ve christened it ‘rose quartz’. For me it shows that you can have a very personalized tone of pink that suits your complexion, it’s not just one shade of pink.” – Redken Global Color Creative Director Josh Wood
