From ordering a new chunky knit to celebrating Starbuck's early release of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, this means that fall is inevitably on the way – even if our thermostats don’t quite agree. As we ramp up for everyone’s favorite season, there is a brand new spectrum of color to get excited about. From cool to warm, light to dark, these shades work wonders on every hair type and tone and will be a welcome dose of inspiration to complement any outfit this fall.

Platinum

This is a shade that usually gains popularity around winter, just in time for the ball to drop. However, this season we’re seeing this shade everywhere as a farewell to summer and a welcome to #sweaterweather. While this shade is a great transition for beige blondes to really kick things up a notch, it is also a great option for lower level brunettes looking for a total transformation or to show off various curl types. To get the look, without the damage, BlondorPlex is the obvious choice for up to 7-levels of lift. This lightener contains Wella’s Bond Builder Technology and cuts down on breakage by 97%, which means more lift with less downtime in between.

Blush

After the long summer clients everywhere are thinking about a swift change. If taking their color to new levels isn’t an option, opting for pastel could be the upgrade they’re looking for. An update on strawberry blonde and #Milleniumpink, as we head into fall, we’re noticing a warmer finish with slightly more peach and illumination throughout. Blush is the balance in-between that clients can’t get enough of and can be tailored to both blonde and brunette!

Ginger

From faint orange to punchy reds, warmer shades have taken over this year with ginger being the latest on the list! The beautiful thing about this shade is the ability to add it to all base colors - blonde, brunette or redhead - to create a stunning finish. Client’s on the search for an eternal summer feeling will be fleeting toward warmer hues, which can be added with highlights, balayage or an all-over wash of color.

Beige-Browns

Whether things are cooling up or heating down, a neutral beige-brown finish will always be in style. As a middle of the road color, this tone can complement various shades and be tailored slightly warmer or cooler for a seamless blend. A great color to rely on to give highlights a quick refresh or for gray coverage clients who are over the bronde look.

To get color to last, be sure to send clients home with a shampoo and conditioner designed specifically for color-treated hair. We suggest Wella Professionals ColorMotion+ Color Protection Shampoo and Color Motion+ Moisturizing Color Reflection Conditioner for an option designed to treat and care for all hair types and shades.
