What has been your biggest defining moment in your career?

Everyday there is so much to shift through, and in my darkest time where I really face myself in the mirror is the moment I need to grow. I think being a Salon owner and putting my editorial career on hold to “raise” my salon was a hard one, yet this continues to confirm my passion for styling hair and creating! My salon allowed me to build a platform to build a brand for myself.

What drew you to hair styling? My soul

Is there a specific area you often find yourself looking to for inspiration? Travel and creations from nature.

What is the one product/tool that you can’t live without?

Hairpins.

How do you dream up your styles?

In my meditations or sometimes I just get this glimpse in my mind of a look.

Are there any special tools or techniques you use to create these styles?

Yarn, Thread, Trash… anything is possible. I think growing up in a third world country made me realize you have to make things with what you got… so i developed this art to make magic with anything you had.. like alchemy.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

To be invisible.

Who were your mentors along the way and how have they shaped your career?

Wow, Bumble and Bumble at in the early 2000’s had a huge impact in my career.
