Show and competition season are in full swing across the pond. With Global.Synergy this week, Salon International and the Alternative Hair show on the horizon….we have tons of great hair to celebrate. The Alternative Hair Show, sponsored by TIGI, announced the International Visionary Awards Finalists. We were thrilled to see some of our past Bangstyle Supremes winners on the list!
Brainchild of Alternative Hair President, Anthony Mascolo, it was created to encourage and identify new talent, giving hairdressers the opportunity to show their artistry on stage in their own show. All while raising much-needed funding for “Fighting Leukemia”; a charity set up by Tony and Maggie Rizzo to support Leukemia sufferers, primarily children and their families.
Despite being a UK based competition, regional shows have begun to pop up in Russia, Italy and Ireland with entries coming from exciting talent from around the globe. As part of this years festivities the nominees in 2 categories, Commercial Cut & Color and Avant-Garde, will present at the awards finale. Here is a list of the talented nominees:

We have seen some beautiful colours and great techniques. In the avant-garde section Pat and I were thrilled to see the detailed work and skill of many of the entries. Seeing the live final will be very exciting.”
