The talents within hair artist Agyness Frozen, are simply amazing. Lucky for us, Agyness agreed to let us pick her brain about inspiration, and creativity. Check out our exclusive interview below to learn more about Agyness, and what fuels her passion for hair artistry.

What was the inspiration behind the collection? How did the creative process unfold?
Inspiration for the Neon collection came easy. The color itself is something that not many people will want on their hair, so it was quite hard to find a model for it.
For all my collections inspiration usually comes from nature. Different types of flowers, animals and human nature itself. Each collection has its own story and a name that represents it properly. For example my newest collection "Sunrise", the name speaks for itself. In it I used really bright orange/yellow colors like you would see if u observed a real sunset happening.

What is your “Recipe” for an amazing shoot?
My recipe for an amazing shoot is just having a perfect team on your side. From the photographer, to the make up artists and of course the models. If my team is great, the mood is great and everything is in perfect order.

What is your favorite aspect about being a Hair Artist? It’s making my customers happy, and that my imagination can go wild. Sky is the limit.

What’s on your photo shoot playlist?
On my photo shoot playlist, I usually listen to Deftones or Katran. They give me that special energy that I need. I can’t function in silence!

What is the one tool and/or product you can't live without?
I think I could live without most of them because I usually find my way if I'm missing a tool or two. But I definitely couldn’t live without my special YS Park Long Fine comb.

Who influenced you the most in your career?
I really don’t have any big influences or role models. I just look at them as artists with whom I’d like to work with and learn from. Honestly, the people who have influenced me the most are my family, my parents, my sister and my boyfriend.

If you hadn't found Hairdressing, what do you imagine you'd be doing instead?
I think I would be a tattoo artist.

If you could style anyone’s hair…who would it be and what would you do with their hair?
Without any doubt it would have to be Miley Cyrus, because I think she has a really boring haircut and it kind of looks like a broom on her. I would do a more geometrical and shorter hairstyle, with pastel colors. Maybe even 2 or 3 different shades.

What time of day do you feel most creative?
Definitely at night, because of the peace and silence. That’s when my ideas and inspirations come along.

You’re home alone with no one to judge you, what do you eat? What do you watch? What song do you belt out?
I think I would do what I normally do with people around me. I don’t care what people think or how they judge me. I would probably eat a really spicy pizza, gummy bears and a chocolate with big walnuts. Belting out Jolene by Dolly Parton!
