Fall hair color has always gravitated toward darker colorations, but this season we have a feeling brighter hues will be on everyone’s radar. Recently, Wella Professionals North America Ambassador Briana Cisneros took her long-time celebrity client Audrina Patridge to a new level of blonde. While this shade was ideal for summer under the sun, they chose to take Audrina to new levels by transforming her blonde locks into a beautiful pinky hue just in time for fall. Read on to see all the highlights and hear expert advice from Cisneros!
About the Shade:
Pink has had a real moment the past year and is always a great transitional tone. It can be tailored to both warm and cool skin tones and is an easy fashion-shade to achieve for anyone who is already pre-lightened to some degree. “It was a simple solid color application since we did all of the hard work lifting her brunette hair to blonde back in June,” says Wella Professionals North America Ambassador Briana Cisneros.
- Base: Koleston Perfect 88/02 + Koleston Perfect 77/01 with Welloxon Perfect 1.9% Pastel to soften her base and touch-up regrowth.
- Mid-lengths & ends: Koleston Perfect 10/95 mixed 1:1 with Welloxon Perfect 1.9% Pastel. This is one of Cisneros’ all-time favorite shades. She pulled it through mid-lengths and ends and left it on for a longer amount of time to really let the hair grab those pinky tones!
*PRO TIP: If you want even more pink in your formula, add a couple of grams of Koleston Perfect /65 Special Mix to your end formula.
Recently opting for a much brighter blonde, Patridge understands the importance of looking after the health of the hair. “After going ‘sandy blonde,’ I wanted to turn it up a notch and it’s true, you can really have fun without compromising hair health. I am so grateful to have my stylist along with me on this ride and excited to be heading into fall with a positive outlook and these pinky tones,” she says.
To care for this look, Cisneros recommends using the Wella Professionals FusionPlex line to keep hair strong and healthy for beautiful color results at the salon.
After shampooing, stylists can add the Wella Professionals FusionPlex Amino Refiller to damp strands. It is best to focus this formula on the mid-lengths and ends to add strength where it is needed most. If you want to receive even longer-lasting results, consider covering the hair and letting sit or applying heat.
Stylists should always prep and finish this service with Wella Professionals FusionPlex Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. Then, discuss with clients the importance of utilizing this range (which also includes the Intense Repair Mask) at home for optimum results. This line repairs and protects against future damage and breakage by penetrating the hair at the cortex to ensure hair feels renewed and smooth!
