The 2019 Grammy’s had its fair share of ups and downs. From the exceptional fashion and stage flops to the big wins of the night – shapes, silhouettes and sequins were a big theme running throughout the Red Carpet. The show, which moved back to Los Angeles from its previous New York venue was hosted by Alicia Keyes who made headlines as the first woman in 14 years to do so. With artists like Cardi B, Katty Perry and Lady Gaga and reality star Kylie Jenner shifting their shape to hats seen on Jlo and Janelle Monae and larger than life colors – the 61st Grammy Awards was loud to say the least. We’ll leave the opinions about performances to Rolling Stone; we’re here for the fashion and the HAIR! Keep reading to see our favorite looks of the night!

Lady Gaga

Time and time again, we ask ourselves, is there anything Lady Gaga can’t do? It has been a big year for her this awards season and it seems to just be getting better. She was a vision on the Red Carpet and a rock goddess on stage. Debuting once again platinum locks and flawless skin she shined both on stage and off. We attribute her effortless waves to her stellar performance – head-banging her way to perfection.

As one of the best performances at the 2019 Grammy’s she also made history as the first solo woman to win a Grammy for Best Rap Album. Her style set her apart at the Red Carpet, on stage and the after show. From sleek and straight to finger waves on stage, we’re excited to see what Cardi does next! In a sweet moment later that night, Cardi B met Lady Gaga – her longtime idol – for the first time. Swooning over each other backstage, seeing them together gave us hope for an upcoming duo – move over Bradley Cooper.

hi to whoever made this edit

From the clavicle up, Katy Perry stuns with a bleach blonde coif, flawless eyebrows and a subtle pink hue on eyes and lips. Her outfit didn't quite make the "best dressed" list, but what we loved more than her look? Her ability to poke fun at her outfit!

Janelle Monae

From head to toe, Monae wore an outfit fit for… well, Janelle Monae. This stunning starlet wins big on the Red Carpet time and time again. Opting for a sleek slick backed style, she is allowing her safety pin hat to take center stage. As an entire ensemble, her larger than life dress is perfectly balanced with the angles of her accessories and really allows her true beauty to still shine through. While this would be a little to extra on anyone else, we can’t take our eyes off of this sensational look.

Not only has Miley Cyrus captured hearts this year with her marriage to hunky Australian Liam Hemsworth, her latest releases and her performance at the Grammy’s with her God Mother, Dolly Parton – she’s left us speechless with her style. Toning it down from the Miley Cyrus of season’s past (we see you Wrecking Ball), she is showing her maturity with her style and grace. In an all black blazer with side swept beachy waves, her understated glamour is hitting home with all of us.

Dua Lipa

Looking cool, calm and collected on the Red Carpet, her performance with St. Vincent literally set the crowd on fire.  We are in LOVE with her sleek center-parted bob and minimal makeup.
