What was the inspiration behind this collection?

TROPIDANCE is inspired by the colors of the world - where fantastic creatures, unicorns, mermaids and fairies are born. It is about Millennials exposing their freshness and aesthetic creativity, without fear, telling us that everything is possible!! Posticería in pastel shades of synthetic hair worked with different techniques using tools of all kinds to achieve different textures and shapes.

Tell us more about you as an artist and how your work has changed over the years.

My passion for hairdressing began as a child. 21 years ago I turned that passion into my profession. From almost the beginning I knew that I wanted to do great things, and let out everything I had inside. After these 20 years of learning, it was time to let out all the creativity,

What did you learn about yourself through creating this collection?

Tropidance was my second avant-garde collection. With her, I learned to take away my fears and start doing great things. I learned how to work my hair in ways that I didn't know and made my way to the following collections that I now work with some more global vision.

What was your biggest challenge/greatest accomplishment?

The biggest difficulty with TROPIDANCE was working synthetic hair with natural hair techniques.

In fact, the greatest achievement of TROPIDANCE has been many, we were the cover of Estetica USA magazine. Being published from America to Russia in hairdressing magazines,  I was able to take the collection to many countries where I met wonderful people.

Were there any products/tools that were key to getting the looks?

Essential hairspray and the sun. Many hair sheets had to be made and it was great to have such a good climate to dry the hairspray.

Do you have a mentor/someone you look up to in the industry (or outside of it) for inspiration?

Yes!!! I have many!! There are hairdressers that fascinate me, but Sharon Blaine was my inspiration from the beginning. I have had the pleasure of attending 3 of her Master Classes and I have learned so much, I almost do not believe it! Her vision of the avant-garde is special and his delicacy creating pieces, I have a great admiration for her.

If you could have a superpower what would it be?

I would love to teleport and see the entire planet.

Coffee or tea? Morning person or night owl?

I don't love coffee or tea, I'm from water!  Ha!  Until recently I was a night person, but as years pass I tend to go to bed earlier.

Favorite travel destination/bucket list location?

I would love to go to Norway and see the northern lights, it is my dream!
