As a fresh season begins, we start to think about ways in which to update our style and our routine. For most, mornings are often jam packed with too much to do and no time to do it – from fitting in gym time, to walking the dog, or even just making time for breakfast and coffee. Rushed mornings can often lead to unkempt hair and hasty styles. To keep your look (and your mood) in check, try out these tips to keep your hair looking gorgeous, even on the go.
Get your ends trimmed often.
The key to a great style often lies in the health of your hair. By keeping up on your haircuts, your hair will actually grow longer and stronger (if that’s what you’re looking for). Need a few ideas? Dry Shampoo is your friend.
You just styled your hair yesterday and already looking greasy? There is no need to shampoo your hair and start over, simply invest in a great dry shampoo. Spritz throughout your roots to mid-lengths and tousle with fingers. If you’re prone to greasy roots, apply dry shampoo before going to sleep. This way it has ample time to do its job, giving you sultry strands the moment you wake up.
Prep the night before.
Make your mornings easier; let your hair do the styling while you sleep. Whether you’ve got curly, wavy or straight hair, applying the proper cocktails of products will ensure a seamless style the next day. For straighter or wavy hair, apply Keep My Curl Defining Cream to wet hair and braid into a loose style. In the morning, simply shake it out and spritz Sea Salt Texture Spray throughout to give it texture and volume. For the curly girls, apply a combination of Miracle Hair Treatment and Smooth & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum throughout and allow to air dry. In the morning, give it a shake and apply Frizz Control Shaping Cream to areas that need control.
When in doubt, braid it out.
Topknots can often look messy when you’re already in a rush. The braid is the perfect compliment to bed head that makes you look like you actually made an effort. Be sure to comb through your ends before beginning (unless your hair is curly), then apply Make Me Shine Spray Gloss to restrain frizz. After you’ve completed your braid, give a spritz of Give Me Hold Flexible Hairspray to keep your style in place.
