Currently, there are three major wildfires burning in California – Camp in Northern California and Woosley and Hill in Southern California. The flames have engulfed endless acres and displaced families, animals, and wildlife from their homes. Due to continued strong winds, these fires are far from being extinguished; communities, families, and firefighters are in need of resources and donations.

As some of the most destructive wildfires in California, they are in need of support. Below please find regional and local organizations that you can contribute relief efforts to help these communities. 

 

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) Disaster Relief Fund

Helping salons and stylists rebuild after a disaster – this fund was created in 1955 by the National Cosmetology Association and aims to help salon professionals rebuild their lives after a natural disaster.

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation

The LAFD is requesting donations at supportlafd.org. They are in need of supplies, such as hydration backpacks for @losangelesfiredepartment firefighters who are working tirelessly to contain the fires across Southern California.

American Red Cross

Workers have set up temporary shelters and food sites across California, you can help by visiting redcross.orgcall 1-800-RED-CROSS or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. 

 

The California Fire Foundation

Providing immediate assistance to fire victims by providing short-term financial support to victims.

Partnering with United Way of Ventura County, they have created this fund to help those affected by the Hill and Woosley fires as well as other natural disasters in Southern California.
