Keep reading to see some of our favorite styles, upcoming trends and the steps to getting the looks!

Burberry

The tides have shifted at Burberry as a wave of tasseled fringe and fisherman’s hats take the place of their iconic Nova Check. Kendal (now blonde), Gigi and Bella Hadid all made their way down the runway to this new carbon-neutral beat. Hairstyles took on an individualized feel with classic blow dries and center parts.

“We’re celebrating individuality at Burberry this season.” Said  Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau. “For the women, I’m using Redken Extreme Play Safe to heat protect the hair and give a luxe finish. I’ve added some bends in the hair with a curling iron. There are some men in the show, and I’ve used the new Redken Brews Thickening Pomade on their hair to help it look nice and full. It gives a nice finish to the hair. The overall feeling to the hair is this rich feeling, a controlled naturalness. It’s a modern, new texture.” He added.

Christopher Kane

The Christopher Kane SS20 show showed cosmic qualities as the designer took us out of this world and back again. Deemed “ecosexual” by the designer himself, the collection is a combination of various ecological materials meet fabrics and textures – coming together to create this new phenomenon, making sustainability sexy again.

Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau capitalized on shellacked ponytails to set the mood – a trend we can’t help but swoon over this season.

“We’re here at Christopher Kane where I’ve updated a simple ponytail using Redken Hardwear 16 Gel to get a shiny, multi-textured ponytail with a shellacked front and natural back. It looks quite futuristic and boyish. I’ve finished the look off with a few spritzes of Redken Triple Pure 32 Hairspray all over for high hold without crunch and Redken Shine Flash 02 for that high-shine, glossy front. It’s simple, with a slight statement.” – Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham has come a long way from her first show 10 years ago. Going from simple shades and a great deal of black, the former Posh Spice has capitalized on color and flowy dresses for Spring 2020. Apart from chic dresses in a multitude of shades, suits and slit skirts made up a collection of easily wearable pieces anyone would love to wear come spring. To capitalize on this cool, chic aesthetic, Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau created a chignon that any woman is sure to want to recreate.

“The hair at Victoria Beckham this season is very chic, beautiful, and slightly masculine. I’ve used Redken’s NEW! Extreme Play Safe leave in to heat protect while blow-drying and flat ironing the girls’ hair to get it very straight. Then, I’ve raked the models’ hair back with my fingers, spritzing with Redken Fashion Work 12 to hold, and finishing it in a very chic chignon. The overall feeling is very groomed, pulled together, adult, and rich.” – Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau

Ports 1961

A blend of shapes and traditional styles Ports 1961 made a play for a classic 60s vibe with a modern outcome. Suits of alternating patterns and shape played delightful tricks on the eye as the audience ate up every creation coming down the runway.

“The hair is inspired by French women. They are cool, effortless, a bit boyish, and sometimes rock a vintage fringe.” Said Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau. “I’ve used Redken’s NEW! Extreme Play Safe leave in to heat protect while blow-drying and using irons. For those without bangs, I’ve side-parted the hair and tucked it behind their ear on one side. To add additional effortless texture, I’ve sprayed Redken Dry Texture Triple Dry 15 throughout the girls’ lengths and tousled with my fingers for a cool-girl vibe, finishing with a few spritzes of the NEW! Redken Triple Pure 32 Hairspray for high hold without the crunch.” – Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau
