How did you decide on entering “Editorial”?
This collection was created and shot for an editorial in Factice Magazine. It is one of my personal favourite collections in my portfolio. I am so grateful to have been part of this creative team and that the magazine signed off on my NAHA release allowing me to enter.
What was the inspiration behind this collection?
The inspiration is space, galaxies, and constellations – out of this world. The concept comes from the movie Fifth Element.
What sentiment did you aim to express in all of your images?
Its meant to be a bit eerie yet feminine. It's telling the story of space royalty, transforming from Princess to a Queen
What was your biggest challenge?
The challenge with shooting editorial is timing. You don’t always have a lot of time to do hair so you have to work cleanly and fast. This particular editorial had 4 hair changes that were all extremely different, with no time to wash hair and reset. I had to be smart in the order of hair changes so that I was able to build up.
How did you work with your team to bring your vision to life?
Because this was an editorial it wasn’t my idea, it was a concept that we all had to work together to achieve. Mood boards were crucial for hair, makeup, wardrobe, and photographer to make sure we all were telling the same story.
What does this collection mean to you?
I have nothing but love for this creative team and collection. This collection truly showcases 100% of who I am as a hair artist and what I love.
Tell us a little more about you, as an artist?
I’ve always tried to stay true to myself
How do you Vegas?
I’m not sure I can answer this, isn’t it “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”?
Salty or sweet?
If you won the lotto (or slot machine) tomorrow, what would you do?
