Creating the perfect messy updo is actually a lot harder than it seems. It can easily go from messy-chic to messy-mess! Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex has revived the trend surrounding effortlessly chic styles. In this tutorial, Karen Thomson, Owner of Kam Hair and Body Spa is giving us the steps to get the coveted look!

Step 1: To create this look, the hair was blow-dried to keep it smooth whilst creating volume at the same time.
Step 2: Hair was then pulled into a ponytail and secured.
Step 3: Then, the hair was then backcombed to give it padding and volume before being put into a loose French roll. To keep the French roll in place, the hair was secured with hairpins.
Step 4: Hair was then pulled out in areas to give a disheveled look and also pulled out around the face to give a softer appearance.
Step 5: Finish off the look with a gorgeous hair accessory to give your hairstyle added edge!
