Jodana has been in the industry for 17 years but her passion for colour started long before then. While studying art in school, she developed a love for mixing, creating and blending colours and it was this passion for art and fashion that drove her to start her career as a hair stylist and colourist in Australia in 1998. While working behind the chair and participating in hair shows and local photo shoots, Jodana developed soon began to realise the importance of continuously growing and improving one’s skills. It was then that Jodana found her true passion for colour and began attending advanced classes with Keune, Matrix, Redken and Wella to begin her career as a colourist. In 2003, Jodana moved to London to broaden her experience and education. While working alongside several top stylists and colourists, Jodana also began mentoring and training young stylists and apprentices. On return to Australia in 2008, she started working as an educator at a private academy in Melbourne and after two years was promoted to the Head of Department. During this time, she developed the academy’s curriculum and mentored educators and students. A few years later, Jodana moved to Denver to work as a stylist and colourist and began her journey with KEVIN.MURPHY. It was her love for the product performance and the choices KEVIN.MURPHY makes as a brand that inspired her to join the team in 2013 as a GOLD.KEY. With her passion for colour and for the KEVIN.MURPHY brand, it wasn’t long before Jodana transitioned her role to the COLOR.ME team and today brings her experience and enthusiasm to her role as COLOR.MASTER.
