Charo García has seen the fruition of many years of experience in the hairdressing sector. Born in the municipality of Llodio (Álava), at only fourteen years old she started her training and she is considered a hairdresser by vocation. She studied Professional Training at the Gregorio Marañón Institute where she completed five years of training to obtain the title ‘senior technician in hairdressing and aesthetics’. In 1996 she did an internship at the Lourdes Ugarte salon where, once completed, she remained for a further four years acquiring a wide experience in the sector. After turning twenty-one in 2001, she decided to take a step forward in her career and open her own salon in Balmaseda (Bizkaia). The Salon Ilitia name comes from the Greek goddess of fertility, and this inspiration gave way to the birth of a stage full of dreams and illusions.
Over the course of these years, Charo Garcia has been constantly training with different international figures such as Anthony Mascolo in Italy and London and with Toni & Guy in London. Furthermore, she has attended training with the best professionals in the sector in large cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia among others.
Charo García collaborates with Biogoien (a distributor of organic products for hairdressing), providing training in the Basque Country, for brands that Biogoien distributes such as Previa and Innovatis Hair.
A year and a half ago, her desire to innovate and offer a better service to her clientele led her to completely renovate the salon, thus achieving the Q in TheQhair, a salon that grows and adapts to our times, always with the philosophy of achieving the "self" of each of her clients based on the care of their hair, their image and their well-being. So much is her desire for continuous improvement that she has recently been certified as a Scientific Image Advisor.
Currently, Charo García presents her "opera prima": Histolisis, a cutting-edge collection that reflects the transformation of a formless body that become a mystical and beautiful creature. A work that does not depart from the ordinary and that shows that the stylist is still fighting for her dreams.
Charo Garcia does not stop forging goals and continues to work every day to achieve those goals, according to her quote: "and why should I not try to achieve, sooner rather than later, a first star Global Salon or the star for Creativity."
In 2018 she was proclaimed winner at the first edition of the "Previa Talent" contest, promoted by the firm Previous Haircare.
