9b1befdf3567c1c385be bangstyle condition then shampoo

No, it’s not opposite day…and yes we said condition and then shampoo. I bet your next question is “WHY?!” So glad you asked!

Turns out, there are a few benefits to reversing your shower routine and adopting this technique. Would you believe it can lengthen the life of your blowout? It’s true! Especially if your scalp tends to get a bit oily.

Conditioning before using a cleanser can help to nourish dry hair, without weighing it down. Conditioners are meant to make your hair soft. This glorious soft feeling comes from a list of ingredients, often including silicones, that make hair feel silky while closing down the cuticle. For us fine hair clients, conditioner can be a double edged sword.

If you tend to be more “oily” (we know, it sounds bad…but the struggle is real) then we recommend your trying a mask first, then shampoo and follow with a leave-in conditioner from the temple down. The trick to avoiding getting oily fast is the application of conditioner to the scalp area.

There are heaps of new “cleansing conditioners” that will allow you to achieve the safe effect, all in one bottle.

Soooo… ditch your old routine and give this new one a try!
