If there were one theme that struck cords throughout all of the men’s shows at fashion week this year, it would be effortless chic. Whether long or short, curly or straight, natural textures are here to stay for the winter and warmer months. Check out the looks we all loved and learn what you need to know to get the look!

Lived-In

Gucci, Hermes and Lanvin all took note from the styles of the 70s and embellished upon them. Undone texture built upon grown out cuts and made way for the perfect lived-in look for any occasion. Whether paired with a suit or a pair of board shorts, this look can be styled with Pomade for added shine and flexible hold.

Natural Texture

Natural movement is a common theme in the styles seen this year from the clothes to the hair. Haircuts are taking on looser silhouettes and styling is ebbing between controlled quiffs and curled coifs. Men are reveling in their natural state and learning how to create a style with their habitual texture. Cavalli and Hermes rocked looks indicative of this style and carefully controlled the movement by using a Grooming Cream to give it hold while respecting their natural state.

Lengthy

Let the good times roll and the strands grow because this year at shows such as Tiger of Sweden, Lanvin, Maison Margiela and Giorgio Armani, longer locks took over the runways. They traded in straight and sleek for a high texture style and effortless vibe. They used a product like the Alternator to give looks a bit of grit while still allowing them to be free flowing and voluminous.

Slicked Back

Whether long or short, the slicked back look was seen on models of all lengths and hair types at Gucci, Prada, and Versace. We also saw a variation of this style with a part inserted for a demure feel. Stylists built on the natural volume and texture of their models and added to it by slicking Pomade from roots to ends and combing through for a defined shape.
